sketches
charcoal – pencils – pens
this is a graphite portrait sketch of my nephew, i made as a christmas gift. although my main focus is natural landscapes, i also make portrait sketches of pets and family.
my proudest charcoal sketch
this sketch took over 10 hours to complete and marks my first-ever attempt at an architectural piece in charcoal.
edinburgh’s architecture is full of intriguing shapes and perspectives. when i first visited the city before moving here, not only was i absolutely captivated by the magic in the air, i was amazed by how the castle seemed to appear through the trees, graveyards, and alleyways. the dreamy perspectives compels me to want to capture the castle from all the different angles that i find interesting.
though my main focus is natural landscapes, i cannot help but try to capture the city’s essence. this sketch is just one of many in the works that explore the architecture of this phenomenal city.
if you wish to purchase this piece, i have both prints and original listed in my store.
